Goodbye twenty-twenty-five
030
Hey everyone,
I’m pretty pumped to be leaving 2025 behind, how about you? It’s been a rough year, both personally and, y’know, globally. I’m not sure that 2026 will be any better for the world, but I’m almost certain it’s going to be an easier, nicer time over in Mousehole HQ. I hope you’re managing to carve out a nurturing space for yourself too, as we enter the hibernating months.
Apologies for the text-heavy post today, I’m in a bit of a rush to get these admin bits sorted so I can go back to writing Counterpart!
Conventions
I had a nice time at Dragonmeet, despite not having much to sell. It’s always lovely to have folks come up to my stall and tell me they already have all my games, so thanks if you said hi :)
I couldn’t find my little mouse mascots before the convention, so they were sadly not in attendance, but I’ve now located them ready for my next stall. Sadly, I won’t be at UKGE next year as I’ve simply not got enough to sell to make it worth the tabling, travel and accommodation costs. Looking forward to returning in 2027 though!
Store stock
I put everything I had left after Dragonmeet on my website, and if you order in the next week or so (by the 10th) I should be able to get your order to you before Christmas. In stark opposition to good business sense I’m regrettably telling you about this just after all the Black Friday sale nonsense, but if you have any presents left to buy then I’d be happy to oblige.
My ‘two books for £40’ offer is still active, and I do have some Koriko books for sale—which will be the last opportunity to buy the game in physical form before I restock the boxes (which will be 2027 at the earliest).
Frustratingly, US shipping is a little higher than it used to be as Royal Mail struggle to adjust to the new customs rules. I send my books as ‘Large Letters’ usually and they currently don’t support that size for the new customs-friendly shipping, so everything has to go as a (more expensive) parcel. Such fun!
The Wheel of Fortune
Speaking of Koriko, if any of you have managed to stack 21 dice in your game and meet the Wheel of Fortune, could you leave a comment on this post? I’ve yet to speak to anyone who’s actually managed it, which suggests that maybe I should make it a little easier in the reprint! I do want it to be special, but not impossible.
That’s it for me, and probably the last you’ll hear from me in 2025. I’ve still got a bit of a mountain to climb in 2026 to get everything back on track, but it’s feeling very possible now. It’ll be tough though. Hard work. Wish me luck!
Jack

Hi Jack! I’m one of the people who said hi at Dragonmeet!
I’m also one of the people who stacked all 21 dice when I played! I felt very good about myself but then I wasn’t sure what I was meant to do so I knocked them down and started again.
I think it helped having the right sort of dice. I’ve tried it since with cheaper more rounded dice with the pips instead of numbers and failed miserably.
Unfortunately I've only been able to do it when I'm not actively playing the game ): I keep reading the Wheel of Fortune page and wishing I could actually put them into my city of Koriko and it never happens... quite unfortunate
